Data Availability and Reproducibility Policy

The Heart and Health Foundation of Turkey encourages transparency, reproducibility, and adherence to open science principles in its official journal. Manuscripts submitted to the journal are expected to provide appropriate reporting of the datasets used and, whenever possible, to make such data accessible.

Authors must present their research findings completely and honestly and must refrain from unethical practices such as data fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of significant results. Methods, experimental designs, analysis processes, and materials used should be described in sufficient detail to allow replication by other researchers. All underlying sources and prior studies on which findings are based must be cited accurately and in full.

When appropriate, datasets used in the research should be deposited in publicly accessible and reputable data repositories. The corresponding access links to these repositories should be provided in the manuscript. If data sharing is restricted due to legal, ethical, or institutional reasons, the conditions under which the data may be accessed should be clearly stated. Every article must include a Data Availability Statement that outlines the accessibility of the supporting data.

Where relevant, authors are also encouraged to share supplementary materials that support reproducibility, such as statistical analysis code, scripts, extended methodological documents, or lists of materials. Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that all shared data comply with applicable data protection laws, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

Editors and reviewers may request access to data or materials during the peer review process to verify the findings. Submissions that do not meet adequate data transparency standards may be returned for revision or rejected with justification.

This policy reflects the Association’s commitment to reliability, accountability, and ethical integrity in scholarly communication.
